The original Worsham Distilling Company (which became the Kentucky Peerless Distilling Company) began in Henderson, Kentucky in the early 1880s. In 1889, Peerless Whiskey production began to flourish under the leadership of the entrepreneur and Bourbon Hall of Fame originator Henry Kraver. Today the Peerless Distillery is a state-of-the-art facility with cutting edge technology, making it one of the most automated distilleries. All under one roof, select Kentucky Peerless grains are milled, cooked, fermented, double-distilled, barreled, and bottled as bourbon and rye whiskey.
Kentucky Peerless’s identity as an artisan distillery is centered around its uncompromising quality and innovative nature. There is possibly no better exemplification of this than the Single Barrel program. The Peerless team promotes only barrels of supreme quality and uniqueness for consideration to be a Single Barrel. Rare notes and characteristics that make each barrel stand apart from the standard profile are celebrated and show off the range of Peerless spirits.
