James Eadie (1827-1904) was a Scottish brewer who established a significant brewery in 1854. Reported in local papers as a self-made man, Mr Eadie was a quiet individual whose hard work and indomitable perseverance earned him and his family a good living. Aside from beer, the Eadie family had their own recipe for a Blended Scotch whisky. Only a few bottles of the original James Eadie whisky remain. To our knowledge all of them are in family hands.
Apart from a 12 year old bottling as part of the United Distillers ‘Flora & Fauna’ range, there hasn’t been a great deal of official bottlings from Mannochmore. There was an 18 year old official bottling, which was sold out in 2014. The distillery has also released the ‘Back Dhu’ Single Malt, which has gained a lot of traction on the market. ‘Loch Dhu’ means ‘black lake’ in Gaelic, which was an extremely appropriate title, as the spirit was basically black. Loch Dhu became known as the ‘Black Whisky’, and was incredibly popular due to its niche slot in the market. The distillery has since stopped producing Loch Dhu.
Nose: Bright fruit sweetness, with hints of roughly chopped herbs and freshly baked rye bread.
Palate: Brown sugar, peppercorn, clementine, buttered crumpets.
Finish: Grassy malt gives it a fresh feel on the finish.

The stock is constantly changing and cannot be fully controlled by us because of the involvement of many parties including the factory and our warehouse. The actual stock can be changed at any time. It is possible that your order will be out of stock once your order has been made.
The period of time is 30 days. If thirty days have passed since you purchased your item, we will not be able to offer you a return or exchange.
Your item should be in its original packaging and not be used. It should also be in the original packaging.
