Carn Mor is a division of Morrison Scotch Whisky Distillers which is solely owned and operated by one of Scotland’s oldest and most prominent whisky families, Jamie and Brian Morrison. It marks the Morrison family’s return to distilling since Brian Morrison sold Morrison Bowmore Distillers. With each release, the family’s experience and knowledge of distilling is well on display. Their reputation within the industry provides access to a wide variety of unique and exceptional casks from pedigree distilleries all across Scotland. The Ardmore distillery sits at the highest point of the Northern railway line, 600 feet above sea level. Close to the small village of Kennethmont, the proximity to the railway line allowed founder Adam Teacher to transport materials from Glasgow to this remote corner of Aberdeenshire, helping the distillery flourish.
Nose: Spiced stewed red fruit with a whiff of smoke.
Palate: Orange zest and bonfire smoke lead into buttered toast and marmalade.
Finish: Campfire smoke lingers, underpinned by raisins and Christmas spices.
