Limited 1 Springbank 10 year / household
Springbank was established in 1828 on the of Archibald Mitchell’s illicit still. Being based in Campbeltown, the once proclaimed ‘whisky capital of the world’, it is no surprise that many of the methods established by Springbank’s forefathers are still applied in the distillery today. Springbank’s team use traditional production methods and are involved in each and every step of the whisky making process – meaning the whisky is the most handmade in Scotland. Unlike any other distillery in the country, 100% of this process is carried out onsite, giving Springbank unrivaled control over the quality of the whisky. The 10-year-old expression offers whisky-drinkers the perfect introduction to the Springbank range. Cask make up: 60% Bourbon, 40% Sherry.
Nose: A vibrant cereal note introduces our flagship Springbank dram, along with notes of gooseberries, mango, vanilla pods, grapes and honeycomb.
Palate: The fruit and cereal notes carry through to the palate in hints of oatmeal, malted barley and orange pulp. Heather honey, hard toffee, nutmeg and cinnamon notes develop.
Finish: A characteristic sea salt note rounds off this dram.
