It is these and only these that are hand selected by Beam’s expert distillers to become Jim Beam Single Barrel. Then, every bottle is individually labeled and hand numbered as a true testament to the unique flavor and profile of each batch.
Nose: The aroma is surprisingly shy; you really have to coax it up, which is unusual for a 54% bourbon.
Palate: Welcoming notes of pecan coffee cake, dried dates, all served on a bed of smoothness but deeply infused with ethanol and the caramelized wood sugars of the barrel it aged in.
Finish: Medium length but pleasant with the cinnamon-like echo of the oak tannins from the aging barrel.
