The mastermind behind Fahr Beer is Jochen Fahr. Jochen was born and raised in Ebringen, Germany. His passion for brewing began early in his childhood when his father worked at the Fürstenberg Brewery in nearby Donaueschingen. Later in life and halfway around the globe, Jochen’s passion for brewing and appreciation for local farming reconverged in Calgary when he started Brauerei Fahr. Jochen’s goal was to provide the Canadian consumer with authentic German Beer made from recipes Fahr away.

This dark lager looks like a Guinness and drinks like a Pilsner! If you hold the glass to some light you will notice a beautiful garnet hue to it. Jochen calls it his ‘oxymoron beer’ – it contradicts itself! Taste notes of chocolate, coffee and dark fruit. The dark colour comes from a special debittered roasted malt that is used in the process of making the beer.

Returns
The stock is constantly changing and cannot be fully controlled by us because of the involvement of many parties including the factory and our warehouse. The actual stock can be changed at any time. It is possible that your order will be out of stock once your order has been made.
The period of time is 30 days. If thirty days have passed since you purchased your item, we will not be able to offer you a return or exchange.
Your item should be in its original packaging and not be used. It should also be in the original packaging.
